I’m so excited to share these cards with you (video originally shared on Facebook)! Many teachers at my school already use these and we have loved using them for at least 5 years. These schedule cards works best with primary grades and special education students. Students can use the picture clue to figure out what the special is for that day. So easy! Plus, you can teach students to look to the schedule instead of always relying on you to tell them the specials they have each day.
Another “plus” is that they are easily interchangeable and editable! Whaaa?!?! Oh, yes! We go by the word “guidance” but I’ve heard others go by the word “counseling” for this same special. Maybe you have “STEM”, whereas we call it “STEAM”. Edit to your own special schedules needs.
There are also cards for assemblies and field trips too! I also put sticky notes on the cards when there is a note I need to give to the specials teacher, ex. “Erin is getting picked up during your class.” Sometimes the art teacher wants us to bring our glue bottles and I use a sticky note to remind myself of that as well.
Check out the video above and if you think these are right for your class, head on over to check them out here at my Teachers Pay Teachers store. Click the pic below to go!
